Angela Merkel: Concrete steps were made in Minsk. Now we need to implement them

In Minsk, complex negotiations to resolve the situation in Ukraine have completed. Francois Hollande and Angela Merkel thanked the Belarusian President for the fact that the most favorable conditions for negotiations were created in Minsk. They were able to communicate in the lobby of the Palace of Independence with Alexander Lukashenko.

German Chancellor welcomed the outcome of the negotiations. President of France, who exchanged a very warm handshake with the President of Belarus, said in Minsk that the agreement reached is "a relief for Europe."

Francois Hollande, the French president:
I believe that we have a serious hope. Although not all the objectives have been achieved. This is a serious hope for Ukraine, it is a relief for Europe, as well as a good example of what France and Germany can do in the name of peace.   

Angela Merkel, Chancellor of Germany:
Now we have hope. We have held not only talks in Minsk but we took concrete steps. Now it is necessary to implement them.
