Domracheva 4th in sprint at World Cup in Nove Mesto

After the victory in the sprint at the last World Cup in Antholz, Belarusian biathlete Darya Domracheva became the leader in the personal 7.5 km races. So in the Czech Nove Mesto, the Belarusian started in red bib, which explicitly indicated Dasha's serious ambitions in the 7 February sprint.

In the firing line Domracheva's rivals who started earlier were not accurate enough: Gabriella Soukalova, Dorin Habert and Valia Semerenko made at least one mistake. The leader of the Belarusian team only needed confidence in shooting and show her traditional speed on the track.

Especially because the main rival of Domracheva, Kaisa Makarainen, had three penalty loops!

Nevertheless, Daria could not take advantage of rivals' misfires: the Belarusian finished fourth missing once on each of the firing lines.

German Dalmayer won the race, with her compatriot Hildebrand and Czech Vitkova rounding out the top three.  In an unexpected result, Belarus' Irina Krivko finished 14th, which is a very good result. Nadezhda Skardino was 16th, while Pisareva and Duborezova were outside the top 20.

In the men's sprint, Slovene Jakov Fak was first. The best Belarusian in that event, Dmitry Dyuzhev, took 31st place.
