Russians consider Belarus the most successful country in the CIS

Russians consider Belarus the most successful country in the Commonwealth of Independent States, according to the data from a survey conducted by the All-Russian Public Opinion Research Center.

Kazakhstan is in second place, while Azerbaijan is third.

The survey was conducted on the eve of the launch of the new integration association - the Eurasian Economic Union. The EEU treaty will enter into force on January 1, 2015.

Respondents were also asked whom they would like to see Russia's partner and whom of the CIS leaders they trust the most.

The same trend was revealed here: Belarus is ranked first. Russians trust Alexander Lukashenko most.
