The tradition of carrying the Olympic torch originated in ancient Greece and reminded people about Prometheus who got fire and gave it to people. The fire of the Belarusian torch originated from Gazprom. Gazprom is not Prometheus. It doesn’t just give fire, it sells it, and not for a low price. That’s why two countries had an argument. By October 20, Russia wanted to get money from Belarus for gas, and to pump into the tube oil in the volume necessary for refineries. Due to reduction of supplies from Russia, the Belarusian pumps weren’t working properly.
